iPET Network Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming and Introduction to Styling

With 15 days of practical dog grooming training, this course is ideal for those starting out in a dog grooming career or an owner looking to enhance their skills.

The qualification is designed for Candidates who wish to gain the skills and knowledge to prepare, style and finish a selection of dog breeds, understand health and safety in a dog grooming salon and gain an understanding of health checking, handling and canine behaviour. Practical grooming training is delivered through Four Paws Groom School in Cheshire with students completing theory work via a user-friendly online learning platform to underpin skills with knowledge.

Candidates will complete the following units:

• Unit 301: Health and Safety in a Dog Grooming Environment.
• Unit 302: Promote the Welfare of Dogs conforming with Relevant Legislation.
• Unit 303: Customer Care and Managing Complaints.
• Unit 304: Assess and Plan Dog Grooming Styles and Maintenance of Equipment.
• Unit 305: Health Checking, Handling and Canine Behaviour.
• Unit 317: Prepare, Style and Finish a Selection of Dog Breeds.

The Candidate would need to complete additional hours at a Training Provider and complete the following additional units:

• Unit 303: Customer Care and Managing Complaints.
• Unit 307: Canine Emergency First Aid.
• Unit 308: Planning the Operation of a Small Canine Business.
• Unit 306: Prepare, Style and Finish a Range of Dog Breeds.
