Groomers 3% Evening Primrose Oil Shampoo

The special Groomers 3% Evening Primrose Oil Shampoo formula is designed for dogs with extreme cases of dry, itchy skin. This dog shampoo is great for any dog that is prone to allergies, or that has particularly sensitive skin, so many Westies will greatly benefit from its use. The special vet grade formula helps to improve coat condition, while the 3% pure, cold-pressed evening primrose oil acts as an anti-inflammatory to soothe dry, flaky, sensitive skins.

Originally from North America, Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) was once known as ""King's Cure-All"". This naturally-derived oil has amazing healing and moisturising properties and contains a high concentration of fatty acids and Omega 3, which both boost skin and hair renewal. That makes this product great for animals with a range of skin conditions, from dandruff and itchiness to alopecia. Studies have shown that EPO has a significantly beneficial effect when used for allergy conditions, and dull coats with excessive moulting.

EPO shampoo and conditioner was recommended to me six years ago and I have used it ever since on my two standard poodles. Leaves their skin and coat in great condition.

This shampoo is lovely to use and my French Mastiff had a really silky soft yet almost fluffy feel to his coat afterwards. He has developed patches of alopecia hence my reason for trying this shampoo, after only one use it is too early to tell if it is helping but the results on the look and feel of his coat were good. The scent is very mild, my only criticism would be to have a stronger scent but maybe this would interfere with the effectiveness of this shampoo on easily irritated skins? If not I would request it otherwise very happy so far

Just great. My dog’s coat feels very soft and clean. Her beard comes up lovely and white. As she walks by me I get a waft of the shampoo. Her skin is not itchy anymore, as it was previously using a former shampoo. All in all a perfect product not too many bubbles either, they are not that important. It is kind around the eyes. I love the smell of her when she rushes up to meet me when I come home. Most of all she is content, enjoys a bath and loves being dried with the hairdryer afterward. I would definitely recommend this product to all my dog walking friends.

Excellent shampoo used on Curly Coated Retriever & Australian Shepherd. Lovely texture goes on lovely & thick onto coat - works well into coat & leaves it smelling lovely, very full with lovely volume and shine (on the Aussies) The curly's coat settles quickly after only a few days of bathing & stops the itching. Love this shampoo - Highly Recommend!

Via our regular groomer we stumble upon this product which has proved to be the most suitable for our now ageing Shih Tzu. Our beloved 'Rascal', from the age on 1 year until the present has been afflicted with atopic dermatitis and has had many attempts at controlling and reducing his suffering. He is now 13 years old and out of all the shampoos tried over the years this one has proved to be the most tolerated and beneficial for his coat. We will continue to use this product for the rest of his life.

As my dog has a sensitive skin i am very careful what I use, we live by a beach she is walked there normaly every day, the salt and sand irritate her skin, she has a bath nearly every day, the shampoo sooths her skin and leaves her coat clean and soft.

I have used this product for some years as it suits my 13 yr old Tibetan terrier who has a skin allergy. He is on a low dose of steroids and Hill's Prescription diet. He is bathed once a week and this shampoo does not cause any irritation. Definitely recommend this shampoo.

As part of our commitment we offer a fast, efficient delivery service. Orders received by 12pm Monday to Friday will normally be shipped the same day. UK Mainland orders over £85 will be delivered free of charge.

Any delivery to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and offshore islands may be subject to a surcharge.

Large, heavy, equipment items such as tables and baths are dispatched via a specialist carrier. Please note that pallets will be delivered curbside. Please make sure you have the correct assistance to bring your product into your premises.

We politely ask you to notify us of any errors in your order within seven days of receipt so they can be rectified promptly.

Please note that orders placed online on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, when we are closed, will be dispatched the next working day.

UK Mainland Standard Delivery 

Orders over £85 will be shipped free of charge. Orders less than £85 will be charged at the following rate:

Small items posted as a large letter such as single blades, attachment combs etc. £1.95

Up to 250g: £3.30   

251-500g: £3.65

501-750g: £3.95

701-1kg: £4.40

1.01kg-2kg: £6.70

2kg+: £6.87

Note that our UK Mainland Standard Delivery is limited to a maximum of 5 litres of liquid per shipment.

Express Delivery

PLEASE NOTE: We have temporarily suspended our Express Delivery service until further notice. The recent changes in Covid Tier restrictions has impacted many delivery services which currently cannot be guaranteed for next working day delivery. We will resume our Express Delivery service as soon as it is possible.


UK Offshore Standard Delivery

Deliveries to UK offshore addresses (including NI, ROI, Highlands and Islands) are charged at individual rates in line with prices from Royal Mail. These are available at the time of ordering and will feature on-line at the basket checkout.


EU Delivery

Due to documentation changes following Brexit, we are temporarily suspending supply of Groomers products to Europe until further notice.

Distance Selling Regulations 

Online, mail and telephone order customers have the right to cancel their order for a limited time even if the goods aren’t faulty. We will offer a refund to customers if you have notified us in writing within 14 days of receipt that you wish to cancel your order. Cancelled goods must be returned to Groomers Limited within a further 14 days after we have been notified. We will refund customers within 14 days of receiving the goods back.

No reason for return is required.

Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty.

Your unwanted item must be in a re-saleable condition and in the original, undamaged, unopened product packaging with any labels still attached.

We recommend you keep the original packaging and wrap the return item well to avoid damage in transit. Please remember the packaging of the item is the responsibility of the sender, not the courier and Groomers Limited. We reserve the right to deduct a percentage of the refund or credit if an item is received unsuitable for re-sale as new. This will be assessed once the product is received.

If you are returning a large item such as a table, bath or cabinet, the item will need to be packaged safely on a pallet, this will be required by the courier for collection and return. If payment is required the cost is from £45.00 per pallet.

Please be aware that the following items are non-returnable:

  • Goods made to order
  • Sealed media such as DVDs and CDs
  • Gift vouchers

Any returns or exchanges on items purchased at events or shows will attract a standard delivery charge.

Please remember to include a Groomers Return Form which you can download from our website or, if you prefer, a covering letter including your full name, address and contact telephone number so we know who the package is from. We will need to contact you to arrange payment or a refund.

Although this is a rare occurrence, we highly recommend using recorded post so that you can track your package should it go astray.

We will aim to refund all items within 24 hours of receipt (subject to our returns policy).

Please allow 3-5 working days for the payment to reach your debit or credit card as standard. We can only refund any amount due on the card used for original payment.

Returning Small Items by Royal Mail

If you are returning a small item by post (packet), please ensure the item is unused, and in its original, undamaged packaging. We will need to resell the item so please ensure it is returned in the way that you would like to receive it. To avoid damages in transit, please wrap the item well, preferably in bubble wrap, and then use a strong box or jiffy bag to send the item. Don’t forget to include your Groomers Returns Form or a covering letter including your full address and telephone number so that we know who the package is from. We also recommend recorded post so that you can track your package, should it go astray. 

Returning Large Items by Postal Service or Courier: 

If you are returning a large item (2kg+) for a refund or credit note, please ensure the item is unused, and in its original, undamaged packaging. We will need to resell the item so please ensure it is returned in the way that you would like to receive it. If the item is sold in an item specific box- e.g. dog cage, please ensure that no address labels or sender details are stuck onto this box. Please put the item in an outer box or wrap in black plastic/cellophane for stamps or courier labels. Please remember that packing an item for return is the responsibility of the sender, not of the courier. The item will need to reach us undamaged for us to be able to give you a full refund or exchange, so please package well for transit. Don’t forget to include your Groomers Returns Form or a covering letter including your full address and telephone number so that we know who the package is from. Again, we also recommend using recorded post or courier service so that you can track your package, should it go astray.

Pre-Loved Items

Items have a 7 day cooling off period and so can be returned for a full refund in the same condition as they were bought. Postage will be paid by the purchaser.
