The Festival of Grooming 2014

The third Festival of Grooming event promises to be more exciting than ever with two award winning headlining speakers joining us from the USA for two days of educational talks and inspiring demonstrations. The paint will be just dry on a brand new interior at the iconic Belfry hotel where delegates will get to enjoy the sumptuous luxury of an American style lodge.

Superstar `On the Road´ duo Jodi Murphy and Danelle German will lead speakers over the weekend with a focus on grooming skills and technique as well as advice on building a successful business within the pet grooming industry.

Master pet stylist and four times Groom Team USA member Jodi will no doubt inspire delegates when she shares her advice and experience as one of America´s top dog groomers. As the author of over 30 specialist grooming DVDs Jodi counts` World Grand Champion´ at the Oster Invitational Tournament of Champions as one of her many accolades. Formerly ranked as the number one pet stylist in the USA Jodi continues to groom, but is now highly committed to `passing the torch` by dedicating her time to educating and training pet grooming professionals to further develop the industry. Jodi regularly holds training days and workshops.

Danelle joins the festival as one of the USA´s pioneers in feline grooming and cat services.  She successfully created the feline-exclusive spa destination `The Catty Shack´ after many years of experience as an award winning exhibitor and feline groomer.  Currently the President of the National Cat Groomers Institute of America she will be sharing experience and advice for pet businesses, as well as cat grooming techniques in response to the growing interest in the UK.

Gillian Higgins promises to delight and educate delegates with her never-been-seen-before canine anatomy `live paint´ demonstration. With a combination of art and science her work is designed to demonstrate canine skeletal structure and outline how it impacts on grooming.

International grooming educator and canine skin expert Monique van de Ven will join the festival line up for the first time from Italy. Monique has worked in the professional pet grooming industry for nearly four decades and flies the flag for best practice. She will be sharing little known tips on skin health and coat preparation through her Hygiene=Health=Beauty talk.

Independent marketing consultant Sarah Orchard will discuss the importance of up-to-date and effective business practice within any salon framework. As a current Director of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Sarah will share advice on incorporating the latest strategies in to a small or medium pet grooming business to help increase profits and overcome daily challenges.

Delegates will benefit from live grooming demonstrations from Melanie Winters-Holmes and Miranda Knezevic who will discuss style and technique for the Cesky Terrier and the West Highland White Terrier respectively.

The 2014 Festival of Grooming promises to be the grooming event of the summer with unique opportunities to learn, network, shop and socialise with hundreds of grooming peers, and carefully selected industry experts.  The `Hollywood´ themed gala dinner and night of entertainment will no doubt encourage a very glamorous turnout as usual.

Tickets are available at a single day rate for delegates who do not wish to stay at the venue, or a full weekend rate,  including the gala dinner. There is an optional Friday night stay allowing guests to take advantage of the spa and hotel facilities.
