The British Dog Grooming Championship is an exciting up-and-coming event ideal for new and established dog groomers, or anyone with an interest in dogs and dog grooming. The British Dog Grooming Championship is now in its 33rd year, and is an established, leading canine event, considered by many to be the most prestigious dog grooming event in the UK.
This event provides excellent networking and learning possibilities. As well as offering visitors the chance to meet and chat with fellow groomers and industry experts, The Championship also offers the opportunity for groomers to enhance and finely tune their skills though competition. Each class will present to a selection of highly respected expert judges, including Marlene Carter, Alison Rogers LCGI and Magali Delaye, and the winner of Groomer of the Year will receive a cash prize of £1500.
Throughout the day, there will be a whole host of dog-themed events and activities. There will be seminars and demonstrations, including a cat grooming seminar from Heidi Anderton, and a demonstration on Asian Fusion Grooming from Pammie Carmichael Hogg which is not to be missed. There will also be trade stands and catering, and running alongside the event is Paws at Bingley, an exciting family dog day set to attract thousands of dogs and their families.
Held at its new venue of Bingley Hall at the Staffordshire County Showground on the Sunday 6th October, the British Dog Grooming Championship is presented in association with the Pet Industry Federation. Groomers will once again have a trade stand at Groomer of the Year, where we will be available for a chat and to answer any question or queries you might have.
